Croatia and Slovenia – day 10

Today we drove half an hour from our hotel in Izola, Slovenia across the border to Trieste in Italy to look around the markets and mum bought someone a present! The canal was very high so I think it was raining heavily again, we went to go sit down at a little cafe and this man came over to show mum his artwork. Where he lives (Senigal) there is many butterflies but butterflies only live for 2-3 weeks. His brother picks up the dead butterflies and he puts them into art, I think it’s quite impressive!!

It started to thunder and rain while we were having our drinks, i had cherry tea for the first time and it is very sweet. But I like it because of that, anyways after we finished our drinks we walked along the peer and there was a very high tide.

It was very cold water too, we walked along and I think a few people were paddling!! There was 2 MASSIVE cruise ships and one looked like the titanic.

After that we walked back to the car park where mum spotted 2 abandoned buildings a bit like in London the old dock yards said Dad. After we got back in the car and drove to a restaurant and I tried everything but I was still in a huff because mum wafted a HORNET in my face. If you don’t know what that is it’s a deadly species of a wasp with spraying venom and stuff. We had a beautiful view of the sea because everyone was inside because it was

raining before so we bagsied the best table. After we finished we drove to a sort of mountain place called Prosecco where you could see the entire view of Trieste. There was the most adorable 3 month old golden retriever on his 3rd walk!!! He was so fluffy toooo!!!!!!

When walking there was a man attached to a rope with Rosen on his hands while climbing the wall, it looked scary. We also saw a really long train that went on for like a minute or something! It looked like cars went on it I think, but I don’t know. We walked back to the car and drove to the hotel for our last night. Stay tuned!

So far, I have been to many parts of Italy (by plane and car) many Greek Islands, Morocco and Thailand. Last summer, we drove to Slovenia and Croatia and camped.
