Ithaca – day 6

Today, we went to a pebble beach called ‘Aspro Gialos’.

Mum and Dad had a swim, I didn’t have a swim because I was tired. I unfortunately got burnt.

We drove to Frikes for lunch at a restaurant called Odysseus. It was quite nice but we were being attacked by wasps, which mum did not approve of and neither me and Dad did not approve either. Mum said it was the best tsatsiki so far, and she is a well renowned tsatsiki expert.

I tried the prawn saganaki, which was yummy!

We drove back to the apartment and went to an ice cream/bar place, called Penelope’s! Where I had strawberry ice cream with caramel on top, Dad said it was nice so I decided to try that combo!!

In Penelope’s, they gave us crisps, nuts and extra snacks with our drinks!

After that, we went out for dinner with Kath and Cliff to a restaurant called Poseidon for a big meal, it was nice and it solved one of our quiz questions (where Tina Turner had a meal!). After, we ate our starters and mains.. We got a chocolate moose dessert!! It was really nice, but I didn’t eat it all because I was very full.

Cliff drank his nice bottle of wine instead

Today it was Kath and Cliff’s 13th wedding anniversary (but they’ve been together 41 years! I drew them a picture because we couldn’t find a card.

My picture wishing Kath and Cliff a happy anniversary

I was cold so Kath gave me a little scarf, so now I have to remember to give it back. Then we all walked back to our hotels and went to bed. Kallenicta!

I’m Alice. I started writing about my holidays when I was 6. I’m 11 now. I love art, photography and travelling. So far, I have been to many parts of Italy (by plane and car) many Greek Islands, Morocco and Thailand. Last summer, we drove to Slovenia and Croatia and camped. Next year I hope to visit Japan and go skiing.
