Eastbourne, Christmas (the prequel) 2024

This is my blog of my trip to Eastbourne for the Christmas – The Prequel!

First we caught a flight to Eastbourne; we passed over London and saw all the big buildings!

We walked to Pomodoro and had a nice Italian meal. We walked back to our hotel and went to sleep 💤!

The next day- mum went in the sea!

We had a very chill day, snacks at the bar- it was a very sorting out day too.. Mum stayed at the hotel lobby sorting out my old phone for cliff, my new phone for me, her new phone for her blah blah blah. We got there in the end- thanks mam.

Dad, Cliff and I went mini golfing! It was really fun, I was surprisingly good at it and Dad won, Cliff lost by 4 to dad and 3 to me. We then went to this arcade, we went on a big virtual rollercoaster that made dad feel a bit ill and me too! We also went on some other machines and I bought myself some sweets with my tickets, after the arcade we went to a nice cafe where I had some raspberry iced tea and Victoria sponge cake! We then RAN to Wicked later on, it was a really good musical!! Dad didn’t come because it was only part one of Wizard of Oz prequel- he missed out.

Obviously since it was ‘Christmas’ the next day I had a Christmas Eve present and got some heatable gloves! Since we didn’t have time to get food we had some sushi, very nice from the co op 😂 

Christmas Day (the prequel)!

We went straight to Kath and Cliff’s, I had a challenge to find clues about presents that had also been hidden 😂. It was fun, once I found all the clues they lead me to my presents which were all linked! They were all arty and very nice- thanks Kath. We all opened presents and enjoyed ourselves.

Then we went and had a meal. Played some games and got more presents- I got some from dad including a lovely ring and wooden jewellery box! Thanks Dad.

After our meal, we went straight to the Ice Skating rink, I was terrible and so was dad. Mum was showing off because she was a proper boss at it 😤. I fell over a couple of times and started to get the hang of it- if I went again I think I could learn more. We got a crepe after while waiting for our Uber, my phone was sorted out and I stayed in and got room service.

Boxing Day (the prequel)

Today, mum went for a swim in the sea again! And lost my favourite hat!

We went to Kath and Cliff’s for a seafood meal. We had a lot of variation of things to eat and also had some dessert and more present opening.

We then walked to the beacon for some parkour at Ninja! Me and Dad did some races and challenges at the Ninja Arena, mum didn’t really join in because it was straight after a meal.

We got a bit tired and walked to Wetherspoons, where I did a painting of a lemon! 😂 When it was time for our movie me and dad walked along to watch Mufasa, mum trailing behind in her heels.. Mufasa was excellent! We couldn’t watch the end because the taxi came too early 😔.

Then we arrived at the Grand hotel, dad didn’t want to come because he wasn’t dressed. I had a Coke and everyone else had cocktails, we only had one because it was so expensive. I had the experience though!! I walked back to the Landsdowne alone and had the room to myself again, while mum went for a Thai meal with Kath and Cliff. I called some friends and then went to bed.

Our Last Day in Eastbourne 😟

Today I woke up quite early to get packed and everything, once we were packed me and mum walked to the coast.

We got in the sauna place (Luna’s hut) on the beach and got out and back in again so we didn’t overheat 😂. After our last get out I went in the ice bath, it was 5°!! Not for long though, mum was trying to tell me what to do while she was only knee length in and I was shoulder deep!

We walked back and had breakfast while doing the last little bits of packing- then got a taxi to the airport which was extremely stressful because of traffic and everything! I am in the plane right now- First class!

Anyway, until summer 2025!
