Today everybody slept late after last nights adventure. When I woke up at about midday I went to go see Caitlyn!! Gvido wasn’t there tho. Caitlyn was curling her hair so it wasn’t the most fun place to be at that moment.
Mum and Gvido went to the campsite reception to ask for help with the abandoned hire car. Mum explained everything in Italian and showed them on What 3 words exactly where the car was. They were very helpful. Within 20 minutes, they had organised for a mechanic to come and Gvido went with the mechanic to visit the traumatic scene from the night before. Mum was going to go to help with the Italian, but the mechanic said they couldn’t have the extra weight in the car, because the hills were too steep, so Gvido had to go alone and he looked very scared.
In the meantime, I took some pictures with Caitlyn near the lake and had to put on my dress to persuade her to go with me.
Before long, Gvido came back with the hire-car! It turned out it wasn’t on a dead end after all!! – only google maps thought it was, but the mechanic knew different! And the clutch just needed to cool down, but the battery was dead because the hazard warning lights had been left on so dads jump leads came in handy after all! Gvido said even in the daylight it was a very difficult drive, in narrow streets, and the mechanic had to drive the car at first! This cost mum 70 euros and everybody was very grateful.
We eventually went for lunch at the campsites restaurant and I got a large salad!! We finished our meal and went on a train to a nice place called Varenna.
We walked to a garden at Villa Monastero and it was lovely. Caitlyn took so many photos as well as mum.
We walked back along the lake as the sun was setting and grandma was having a hard time going up the hills.
Once we eventually arrived at a bar we sat down for a bit just to rest. Since it was getting a bit dark me, Gvido, Caitlyn and grandma walked to the train station before mum and Dad. Soon mum and Dad came back and we went on the train. We had pizza for dinner!! Once we finished we split up and headed to bed.
