Today we travelled back on the ferry from Hvar island to Split. We knew a storm was coming so we got a ferry as soon as possible because it was the only way off the island. It was quite a rough crossing.
After the crossing, mum and dad decided to abandon the ferry they had booked for 10pm to Ancona, Italy and drive to Italy instead. Sadly, this meant we had to cancel seeing all of our friends in Marsciano, where we used to live.
So, we got an Uber to the car park and guess what?!! The Volvo started, after 4 days of not moving!! We were very proud of her!! We then drove for 6 hours to an apartment called Margarita in Opatija, Croatia to stay in overnight. It looked like a very pretty place, but when we arrived at 8pm it was pouring down and firemen had closed roads and were clearing lots of drains. The car was packed so tightly we had no idea where our umbrellas were so we got absolutely soaked walking 2 mins from the car to the apartment!!
We got a takeaway pizza delivered. I rang Izabella for an hour or so before going to bed. It was a long day but not a lot of exciting things to put in. Another all travelling day. I hung up the phone not long before going to bed. I got my beauty sleep for another travel day tomorrow.
