Croatia and Slovenia – day 5 (first full day in Slovenia)

Today I woke up at 9!! 11 full hours of sleep! For breakfast I walked over to the bakery and got 2 chocolate croissants. Mum was offended at the idea of sharing one with Dad, when we finished it was so hot!! So I decided to sit in the car but then it was so hot in there. We went for a drive to get lunch but it started to rain heavily.

River Bled in the rain
Huge cargo train!

The lunch was really nice! But I figured I don’t like cold soup.

Trying cold cucumber soup!

When we finished and left we drove to a car park in a Slovenia’s capital city called Ljubljana. It was such beautiful weather until.. it wasn’t. Mum stepped on a drain to find out it produced warm air and blew her dress up. Dad burst into laughter and mum wasn’t happy at the fact a man on the other side of the road had quite a nice view. We went to go find a nice place to have a quick drink after checking out the market.

It started to rain very heavily and I had no coat! Mum was very happy with her umbrella. When it died down we walked off to the market until it became worse , we had to go under shelter because it was so bad. To be honest I don’t mind the rain, the air was warm but the rain was freezing. So I basically was neutral temperature. We went to the market and mum bought some earrings.

Locks on bridge from boyfriends and girlfriends

My siblings may be reading so I won’t say what we got as well, we walked further on to see the 3rd bridge covered in love locks. Dad called the people who put locks on the decorations or whatever they were ‘Arse wipes’ which I thought was quite funny. We walked on until we found a grill restaurant called ‘Fany and Mary.’ That was even more funny.

We kept on walking until we found this really big open space where there was a circle where it was raining. But when you stepped out it wasn’t raining, then I found out it was a sprinkler for hot weather. We walked on until we found the car again and drove back in bad weather, while writing this right now it’s raining, thundering and lightning-ing. We are all sitting in the car and I’m eating chocolate and sweets! Very good for my teeth!

Wasn’t the best adventures today with the weather, but it was nice!

Dad put goggles on to go back to the tent for supplies!!

Stay tuned for future updates!
