Marrakesh, Morocco – Day 1

Hello there fellow readers!!

I went to the pool this morning after breakfast, the breakfast is quite unusual if you ask me it’s like a buffet but a lot of things are cooked! But it’s still nice, anyways after the pool we went to see the souks at the Medina. It’s alleyway after alleyway of shops!! There’s so many motorbikes zooming past, I saw loads of cats and kittens too. I saw a piece of clothing I liked and it was soon to be mine, mum also got herself a pretty scarf! And somehow mum got the price from 250 MAD and 200 to both 100 MAD!! Magical mum.. 😲

Dad and me in the souks
Tiny tortoises outside a souk!

After we got a nice lunch at a roof terrace, I had a Caesar salad. Mum also had a salad and dad had a beef tagline, they also gave us these really funky straws I liked reshaping them.

Dad’s mint tea

I was also really sad when seeing the baby monkeys in a cage and on a chain, and there was a lot of snakes. Mum said not to go near because they would probably put one on you.. But then we went back to the hotel and got a last minute bite to eat at the buffet restaurant. And they didn’t charge me so happy days! Then we went to the room and went to bed, stay tuned..

I’m Alice. I started writing about my holidays when I was 6. I’m 11 now. I love art, photography and travelling. So far, I have been to many parts of Italy (by plane and car) many Greek Islands, Morocco and Thailand. Last summer, we drove to Slovenia and Croatia and camped. Next year I hope to visit Japan and go skiing.
