Day 14-15- It’s All Greek To Me

Monday

For lunch we shared a fish platter. I tasted mackerel, squid, octopus, mussels and giant prawns. ( most of them I did not like )

Afterwards we caught bus to a beach called Karitas. I found a very unique shell and swam in the sea.

I’m a unicorn!

We went for a drink under The Portara in a bar called Paradise after the bus dropped us off.

360 view of Paradise

On walk back to the apartment, I tried bubble tea for the first time.( it was delicious ) The flavour was passion fruit and mango with strawberry bubbles.

Tuesday

We got the ferry to Koufonissi. The man on the boat wouldn’t move his bag from the seat, so dad had to stand.

Unhappy daddy

We were on the boat for 3 and a half hours. When we got off, we got on a little taxi boat to a beach called Pori. It was fun playing in the water and watching the kite surfers in the background.

We’d bought a picnic from the bakery, so I had some cheese straws and a delicious cheese and ham pie but then I dropped it in the sand. We walked back to the port along the coastal path, stopping to watch some people jumping off the cliffs into the sea. (Vv scary)

The boat back was pitch black, but daddy got a seat this time.

I’m Alice. I started writing about my holidays when I was 6. I’m 11 now. I love art, photography and travelling. So far, I have been to many parts of Italy (by plane and car) many Greek Islands, Morocco and Thailand. Last summer, we drove to Slovenia and Croatia and camped. Next year I hope to visit Japan and go skiing.

  1. Hello Alice
Another lovely ‘newsy’ blog – well done!
It’s good to see the things you all do and see. It’s almost like being with you, especially when the temperature here has been over 30degC, yesterday and today! Oh, and we don’t run to such ‘exotic’ dishes for our meals. Salads, more like!
    Lots of love,

  2. Sorry – forgot to give a special mention to the videos – they give us a good feel for the landscapes around you and the good times that you are having. (Just like Ithaca.)
Good shooting by mum and dad!

  3. Hi Alice
Loved your latest blog. Some really good shots and vids. You are certainly getting around, too, seeing lots of good sights.
(Grandma doesn’t like the very wobbly stuff, either!). We both like prawns, crab and lobster.
    Lots of love
